It is GREEN! We have been so blessed to have had such an amazing amount of rain this year!We have started with landscaping and things seem to be going well. Trying to find the perfect plants to put at the park has been practically approaching a scientific study of what will grow best at the park. One of the trees we are planting is Sea Buckthorn which is native to Mongolia. It survives extreme temperatures, is drought tolerant, and produces an incredibly nutritious berry. We wanted to make sure that whatever is planted at Star of Texas is not harmful to your pets.

For some odd reason we have had problems with people trying to locate us with GPS from different map sites. We have TRIED to correct this by sending corrected coordinates to them, but we haven't had much luck.
Here are the coordinates for our west entrance - Latitude: 36.327, Longitude: -102.068
PLEASE! Call us if you have any trouble! We want to help however we can!
Star of Texas RV Park and Horse Hotel
Texas Highway 15 that runs along the north side of the park is undergoing a major transformation. The road is being widened and improved, but the bad news is that the north entrance to the park is currently closed. For the time being, please use the west park entrance on US 287. We will be sure to let you know when the new and improved road is open and the north entrance available for use again.
Many thanks for your patience!
I never cease to be amazed at the wonderful people we have met who have stayed with us at the Star of Texas RV Park and Horse Hotel. Thank you so much for taking a moment to viisit with us before you continue on your way!
Spring is on the way and plans are being put into place for landscaping!
Special thanks to everyone who has taken the time to pass on some really amazing ideas:)
You have no idea how much we thank you!
We are thrilled about the recent rains and are enjoying the green in Cold Water Canyon! From our park we have a magnificent view of the canyon. Star of Texas is looking forward to ex-students arriving for the Stratford ISD Ex-Students reunion and Stratford Jamboree on July 25th and 26th. If you are traveling for those summer ropings, rodeos, or coming to XIT Rodeo and Reunion on August 5th through 9th, we would love to have you stay with us!
We have had our share of odd weather this year. But regardless of what the forecaster predicts, we still have the most colorful and dramatic sunrises, and the truly amazing majesty of the setting sun. Come join us and experience the wonder of it all!
We have 60 pull-through RV spots available 24/7. Star of Texas also has nine 33'x120' horse corrals available. Larger corrals for cattle are ready for use.
Come stay with us soon!
We have been working for two years in planning the construction of Star of Texas RV Park. The building actually began at the end of August 2013, and we are almost finished and ready to open. We thank you for your interest in our project and are excited to welcome you to stay with us!
